BUTTE COUNTY SHERIFFS MOUNTED POSSE
Dear Friends:
The Butte County Sheriffs Mounted Posse cordially invites
you to participate in our 54th
Annual Bandit Chase and camp out at the Posse Camp in Butte Meadows. For those
of you that
havent participated
in this event before, the weekend is planned as follows:
SATURDAY, JUNE 5, 2010
We will have an in camp treasure hunt starting on Saturday
good luck on finding the loot!
Get
your camp set up. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. At 1:00
p.m. be
ready to try and capture
10 Bandits that have escaped into the hills. Our Posse has put out a
reward on these desperadoes, so if you catch one you can
collect $$$$$$$! Well supply a map
of the area theyre hiding in. The Bandits must move their
hiding places every 10 minutes. The
Chase will be over by 4:30 p.m. and all bandits WILL BE
CAUGHT!
The rules for catching
Bandits are: you must get within 10 feet of a Bandit and tell him hes
under arrest. (No shooting or roping from the saddle.) They
will surrender their marker and take
your name so you may receive your reward later. Only one
bandit per person! All participants
must leave from the staging area at the correct time (no
early birds).
P.S. No bandits will
be caught by the Butte County Posse members, only our guests!
Dinner will be served from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and
rewards will be distributed during
the meal. A GREAT RAFFLE will be held as well!
If, after dinner and awards, youre still full of energy,
the Bambi Inn and the Outpost will be
presenting live music to dance, party hardy; or you can
always find plenty of activity in camp.
SUNDAY, JUNE 6, 2010
8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. breakfast will be served. By 9:00
A.M. be in the saddle for a
POKER
RIDE with prizes for the best hands! Last rider out by 10:00 A.M. We would ask
everyone to be moved out of camp by 2:00 p.m. so we can
clean up and get home before dark!
